Musicals
for Children |
Kathleen's voice teacher at Westminster was Helen Kemp, with whom she
had the privilege of studying for three years. One of the lessons
that rubbed off was love of children's voices and an ability to evoke
music from young choristers. For a number of years, beginning in
Naples, Kathleen had the opportunity to write an end-of-season musical tailored to the
children in her choirs. The performing forces required for each of
these works reflect the
varying experience levels and numbers in her choirs.

Each of these titles comes in two editions: the Directors' Script and
Score, containing all the notes, complete scores, and script, and the Players'
Script and Score, containing only the script, stage direction, and vocal
lines and lyrics to the songs. Unless the director is also the accompanist,
it is recommended you purchase at least two Directors' copies, and
enough Players' copies to go around for the cast.
