"Tocsin" is a word I learned from an anthem performed by the Westminster Singers in 1982. It means alarm bell. I wrote this tune for James' first published hymn "Wake up, wake up from your sleep". The text appeared in Selah Publishing Company's compilation Songs of Praise, without this tune. Oh well, one can not say I did not try.
